Who is behind HR Riant
Founded by a former agency headhunter. Written and reviewed by the HR Riant Editorial Team.
That team name is the byline on every page. We don’t publish under invented author names or with author photos, and we don’t list credentials, client names or years of experience. Our editorial policy explains how we write and fund the site, and how we check our pages covers the checks behind every date and figure.
What you will find here
The site is organized around four areas of work:
- Hiring: recruiting plans and the rules that apply when you hire
- People and performance: managing performance and conduct at work
- Pay, leave and dates: payroll and holiday dates for each country, plus pay budgets and minimum wage
- Agency and headhunting: how recruitment agencies and search firms work and what they charge
Our country pages cover the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, Germany, India, Singapore and the United Arab Emirates. The page for each country starts with the next public holiday. Below it are the dates and rule changes employers there plan around.
Free, with no sign-up
Everything on HR Riant is free. You can read every page and download every file without giving us an email address or creating an account. There are no ads on the site today. If that changes, our editorial policy will say so.
General information, not legal advice
Our pages give general information. Employment law changes often, and it differs by country and often by state or province. Check the official source linked on the page, and talk to an employment lawyer or another qualified advisor before you act on a legal question. Our terms of use set this out in full.
